Sukkur Greenfield Airport Project Formally Launched: A Transformed Vision for Northern Sindh (Tando Masti).
SUKKUR: A new era of infrastructure development has officially commenced for Northern Sindh. The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has formally launched the feasibility study, master planning, and detailed design services for the long-anticipated Greenfield Airport Sukkur.
The high-level “Kick-off Meeting” held in Sukkur set the project in motion, bringing together senior government officials, aviation experts, and business leaders to define the roadmap for the airport’s development.

Project Partners: World-Class Aviation Expertise
PAA has contracted M2P German and Leit-Werk, two of the world’s most distinguished aviation consultancy firms, in joint venture with local partners Indus Associated Consultants and Cosmic Engineering Consultant. This elite team will lead the project’s feasibility, master planning, and detailed engineering design phases.
The partnership ensures the new airport is designed to meet international standards for both efficiency and passenger experience.
Strategic Location: Tando Masti, Khairpur District
During the meeting, PAA top officials confirmed that the proposed new airport will be located near Tando Masti (District Khairpur). This strategic site ensures the airport is easily accessible via the National Highway and will serve a wider region, including Khairpur, Mehrabpur, and Naushahro Feroze, effectively connecting them to major travel routes.
Economic Impact: Economy and Job Generation
DG PAA, Air Vice Marshal Zeeshan Saeed, and Deputy DG Engr Sumair Saeed emphasized that the new airport will be a transformative initiative for the entire region:
- Economic Catalyst: It is expected to significantly boost regional trade, tourism, and industrial growth.
- Employment Generation: The construction and operational phases will generate thousands of jobs for the local community.
